Stop Making Buyers Hate You: 3 Things Real Estate Agents Need to Avoid

Tips and Tricks

As a real estate agent, you want your clients to love you, not hate you.

Unfortunately, there are some things that agents do that really get under buyers' skin. Here are the top three things buyers hate, but agents keep doing.

Walking them through too many homes

Sure, you want to show your clients all the available properties on the market, but walking them through 20 homes in a day can be overwhelming.

Not only will they have a hard time remembering each property, but it can also make them feel pressured to make a decision.

Instead, narrow down the options to a more manageable number and focus on the properties that best meet their needs and budget.

Showing them properties over their budget

While it may be tempting to show your clients a few properties that are a little bit out of their budget, this can actually be counterproductive.

Not only will they fall in love with a property they can't afford, but it can also make them feel like they're missing out on other properties in their price range.

Stick to their budget and help them find the best possible home within their means.

Leaving it up to them to determine the value of their home

Buyers want to know that they're getting a good deal, but it's not their responsibility to determine the value of a property.

As an agent, it's your job to help them understand the current market and guide them towards making an informed decision.

If you leave it up to them to determine the value of a property, they may end up feeling uncertain or making a mistake that could have been avoided.

In conclusion, as a real estate agent, it's important to avoid these three things that buyers hate.

By walking your clients through a manageable number of homes, staying within their budget, and guiding them towards making an informed decision, you'll not only make your clients happy, but you'll also build a great reputation as an agent who truly cares about their clients' needs.
